Born July 10, 2026, Kiki’s Sweet Treats came into the world a little differently than we had planned.

When Kiki went into labor, I was right there with her, as I am with each of my girls. I make it a priority to be present throughout labor and delivery because, while most births progress beautifully on their own, things can change quickly, and this was one of those times.

As the night went on, it became clear that Kiki needed some extra help. What began as a normal labor turned into a late night emergency C-section. Because I was there watching her closely and prepared to act, we were able to get Kiki the veterinary care she needed and safely welcome four beautiful babies into the world.

And just like that, our Sweet Treats litter arrived: Moose, Maple, Biscuit & Buttercup. 

Experiences like Kiki’s are a reminder of why I take birth preparation so seriously. Breeding isn’t simply putting two beautiful cats together and waiting for kittens. It means knowing each of my girls, recognizing when something isn’t progressing normally, having supplies ready, having veterinary support available, and being willing to change plans at a moment’s notice when a mama or her babies need help.

I never want one of my girls going through labor alone. Whether she needs hands on help or simply a familiar person sitting quietly beside her, I want her to feel safe and supported through the entire experience.

Thankfully, Kiki recovered beautifully, and her four little Sweet Treats have grown into the happiest, most playful kittens. They’ve been raised right in the middle of our home with lots of human interaction, new experiences, good food, and plenty of love.

Their beginning may have been a little unexpected, but watching them grow has made this litter especially meaningful to us. From one very long late night came four very sweet little lives, and we couldn’t imagine our home without them.
